Leigh is an alternative therapist with over 25 years of experience. Laughter meditation formed the basis of the first workshops that he led, which he later combined with colourful guided visualisations. He has run workshops on the Lazaris Material, imagination and creativity, Colour Therapy, colour and sound and the chakras. For his one-to-one work, in addition to offering intuitive counselling, he offers work with Lazaris Material processes and exploration through creativity. Leigh is a multi-media artist. The two strands of his work - therapeutic and creative - continue to inform each other.

Leigh graduated with a BA Honours degree in English Literature with Drama from the University of East Anglia (UEA) in 1994. On the course, he met with psychotherapist Jill Hall, whom he continued to see for individual and group therapy. Through Jill, he met Marion Hall and started attending her Lazaris Material workshops. From 1998 he studied Colour Therapy with June McLeod and Colours of the Soul, gaining his Diploma in 2000. Later that year, he was invited to run a workshop at the Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts (SCVA) in conjunction with a Postgraduate Museum Studies exhibition on colour. He received holistic vocal training from Mary Benefiel between 2002 and 2015 and from 2006 to 2007 was also coached by opera singer Helen Cannell. Between 2011 and 2014 he received movement tuition from Helen Massy.
